Okay all you wags, not THAT rear end After shifting into second, (usually around a turn) I hear a metallic ringing sound. The closest description I can think of is the compressor in our temperature chambers here at work make the same sound,on the bike it lasts about 2 seconds.

Yes, only in second. I noticed that today I had both saddlebags loaded, and it didn't make the noise, (or I did not notice it) more investigation on the way home tonite ...

That could be something silly like a part rubbing rather than something worn out.

Check the brake caliper torque arm to make sure it's not rubbing on the tire.
