I have a 1984 1200 asp and just purchased a Garmin 2610 GPS unit. I also purchased the suggested motorcycle mounting kit #010-10495-00 to mount it on my Wing. However the kit came only with the base motorcycle mounting plate and needs a "3rd party mounting device" to attach it to the handle bar. I've surfed the web and found a variety of "RAM" mounts but don't know if any will accept the factory mount I purchased. (ApparentlyGarmin doesn't seem to have any handle bar mounts). Any suggestions....would appreciate any help from someone who has mounted the Garmin 2610?

I have just purchased the 2610 and also brought the touratech mount for it (I have an SPIII complete with bracket for sale if anyone is interested ) and the touratech bracket (shown in thread above) is vastly different from the SPIII bracket. The touratech is well worth the money and fits in the same place as shown. you can get the bracket from http://www.globalpositioningsystems.co.uk. I did buy the connecting lead they sell but you need to plug in a 3.5 jack plug to get the audio into the bikes audio system. I will order the right lead from Cellset so it plugs into one of their Dualset systems.
