here is my question I have the neutral light as well as 4th and 5th gear lights any ideas on getting the others working was this way when I bought it
Check the connector on the left side of the faux tank. Follow it up from the front cover. It is going to be a six pin connector. The Aspencades' had six wires, the Interstate only had three. One for neutral, 4th and 5th. I suspect you're going to find a six pin connector with only three wires in it. If that's the case, I also suspect someone has changed out the original engine and was too lazy to swap front covers.

If you have the neutral light it should start without pulling clutch.

If you have 4th and fifth indicated you should have vacuum advance in those gears.

If you want the other gears indicated you'll have to find a switch somewhere then pull the front transmission cover to change it.

Personally I would just ride it as is.
