I don't agree with the center stand potentially bending while you sit on the bike. Heck, yesterday while I was changing my oil, the wife made me a sandwich and brought it into the garage for me. I sat on the bike facing backwards, put my feet on the passenger pegs, and folded my Utopia flat and used it as a little table. Very comfortable! The Goldwing is awesome.

I believe taking a Goldwing down from the centerstandwhile standing next to it is a recipe for disaster for the average sized person. A lot could go wrong standing next to a 700 lb machine coming down from the stand and having very little control as it does. Seems clear to me that the best place to be is on the bike. For those that do it, keep up the good work. for those who are new to the big Goldwing, I recommend getting on and rocking her off the stand.

dont sit on the bike while its on the centerstand, it will bend.

put sidestand down. left hand on the left handlebar grip.
right hand on the handle at the seat. push down with right hand and once the back wheel touches the ground. pull up and forward with the right hand. while you balance it with the left hand. once its off. let it sit on the side stand.
if you feel uncomfortable with my method, or you cant stop the bike from rolling too far forward get the bike in gear before doing this.
Guillermo, have you ever bent a centerstand by sitting on a bike?

Man O Man, I'm no lil guy a bit older, but because of all the weight can't get mine on Center stand easy, unless I drive rears on a small block of wood and then it's still a pain cause I'm havin ta try n balance it has I get off then get center stand up!

where do ya get that Voyger stand? and why did't Honda follow suit!

Brick I had the same problem. The trick is to be certain you feel both "feet" on the centerstand hitting the ground SIMULTANEOUSLY. If both feet are on the ground evenly, the bike will pop up on the stand with minimal effort. Stand on the left side of the bike (clutch side), grab the grip with your left hand, put your right hand anywhere you feel comfortable so you can tilt the bike upright. After you have the bike standing up straight, put your foot on the centerstand pedal and push just hard enough to feel it make contact with the ground, then gently rock the bike slightly so you can get familiar with both centerstand feet making contact. Practice getting the feet on the ground for a few minutes if you have to because this is the key to getting the bike up easily. Once you are able to determine she is making proper contact with the ground, apply more foot pressure and gently rock the bike backwards. She will come up believe me. MAKE SURE BOTH FEET OF CENTERSTAND ARE TOUCHING THE GROUND BEFORE YOU TRY TO RAISE THE BIKE. If you do not do this, you will never get the bike on the centerstand.
