i use the centre stand only for prolonged periods of parking, its always on the side stand, for getting off the centre stand, mount the bike, pull back on the handle bars to get the bike rocking and then push forward, it should rock off the centre stand. As other members say, some take the bike off the centre stand while off the bike, never done this myself but if you do make sure the side stand is down.
