I snapped the bolt (last 1/2inch)that goes through the Fuel filter housing and hold the tach drive in place !

Trying to figure out a way to remove the broken piece woth out removing the Fuel filter ?

Maybe an "Easy Out" ?

I can't get a "Center Punch" on it to try and drill evenly into it, then reverse it out ?

Leaking a little "Oil" fron fuel filter seal?

Is this because it has the drive gear is "Oil Driven"?

thanks for your help!

An old trick I learned in the Air Force wasthat if you couldstart the drill at any angle, as long as it's in the right place, you could drill for a short time (enough to get it started)at that angle, then slowly move the drill to the desired angle and finish drilling your hole. We used this to drill angled safety-wire holes in bolts (one flat to the next) withnothing buta hand drill.

We are talking about the fuel pump and not the filter, aren't we? If so, it has to be easier to remove the pump, there might be a stub of the bolt left that you can get a vicegrips onto.
