Can anyone tell me the Valve Cover Bolt torque specs for a GL1100. I have a shop manual but I cant find the torque specs.I just replaced the valve cover gasket. Should I also replace the tapered bolt seals or can I use the old ones, they were not leaking?

Thanks

You can use them over again if they were not leaking. They will bottom out when you tighten them up so stop there. They are easy to twist off if you force them past stop. GM

I have never seen a spec for these. Go until you feel the sharp rise in torque and stop. They will break of easily if over torqued.

Thanks everyone for the advice. I used 10 ft/lbs but I will back off and torque them to 6 ft/lbs.
