gl 1500 1999 corner lights

I would like to know the part number. I know they are a double filament (though only one is used) bulb rated at 18 watts. I think they run around $6 unless yo ugo to the dealer. They have an odd shape to the metal and I was unable to locate a general type bulb number.

Though I am thinking of converting those to 1156 type LED sockets/bulbs. In the mean time, yes, a part number would be cool!

I converted to 55W H1's, much much brighter and easier to find than the stock bulb. I also use the shims and H4's for the main headlight.

But I'm sure many will appreciate the number from NAPA, me included...

Can you post a picture of the bulb solaro? A lot of people would be interested in that.

Will stock wiring holdup with a 55w bulbs and not melt? I'd like to change mine also but I'm worried about the wiring.

The part number for the corner light bulb is 730-7351. I already installed the bulb and don't want to remove it for a picture that some one asked for but if you go to cycle max it appears it is the same bulb but a replacement for the oem for 3.00 I ordered two oem from cycle max before I knew that napa carried these. I had the lower fairing off and I hate leaving the bike looking like that so I put it back together and will keep the others when they come in for spares. solaro

There are two totally different bulbs for the 1500 and different wattages. When I say different I mean a different socket. Why I don't know but on mine the dealer wants $20+ but Cyclemax is $5-6. The other ones are very hard to find at any price.
The main concern with too high a wattage is damage to the plastics / lens.
On mine it's easy to rearrange the bulb to use the second filament.
OP Please post a picture of yours or the part number so we can see the spec.

The stock wiring is holding up just fine. Remember that the length of the wire is part of its resistance, hence on a motorcycle one don't really need the thicker wires. I am also using 130/90 on my main headlight and that works great as well. I do suggest a different alternator though...

I have a compu- fire alternator and I'm not worried able that. Well I guess I'm off to WallyMart to pickup sum 55w H-1 bulbs.
