Hi all, I have acquired a 1989 goldwing and am starting to give it a service, first problem is I have removed the air filter (red) and the carbs side has a large mesh with large holed perforated plate behind.
The replacement I have received is blue and the mesh is very fine, I would imagine the airflow will be significantly different, does anyone see a problem fitting the new blue one? Any help appreciated.

Mike, many thanks for the swift reply.
I have purchased timining belts, plugs, oil, filter, antifreeze and air filter.
Bike only done 47,000 miles since new, thought I would give it a fresh start.

When you get ready to change the rear tire you might think about pulling the drive line out and grease the splines.
