GL 1500 carb problems

Hopefully this is an easy problem. My 1500 has been sitting a few months as I have not been able to ride. Bike will start fully choked but as I back off the choke it just dies. Ran it choked around the neighborhood at slow speed and, at higher speed, runs ok with choke off. Soon as I go come to a stop sign it dies again. Wondering if this is due to a clogged jet or from water in the fuel. Ran good before it sat for the 2 months. Any suggestions? Thanks.
