Just a thought for you the 1500 was known for bad grounds. On the right side of the frame up under the plastic. 1. Remove seat 2. Remove radio 3. pockets then upper plastic that big black wire bolted to the frame is your main ground. It should be clean of all corrosion although it usually isn't. then tighten. I actually added a second ground wire and connected it some where behind the battery box. Everything does better now.
