I have a '92 Gl 1500 I. The tach is not working. I have taken the panel out expecting to find a cable broke. Wrong it doesn't have one. You see I'm new to the Goldwing and it's new to me.The speedometerworks fine.

Can someone tell me how to check the tachguage to see if it isbad or where to look for the problem. :baffled:

hhehee... the tach aint mechanical. its electronic and works with pulses made by the coils. download ur manuals from my signature while the gurus stop by. welcome to the forum

if the tacho turns out to be bad and it has three wires to the back i think i have a good one you can have later ones have only two wires on the back i know one is an earth and one should be live with ign in the on position other must be from the pulse coils
