Gl 1500 lighting issue

While driving my running lights and tach and speedo lights go out. Headlight stays on, then cruise lights and idiot lights blink and everything comes back on as normal. Turn key off and process starts again. Any help appreciated

Try cleaning ign. switch,,, I had similar to that... I cleaned with contact cleaner then put powdered graphite ensure you play with it a few time and wipe the key so you dont get dirty hands and pockets
