While riding the other day my speedometer went out on me. The cruise control still works and the turn signals work fine. Every so often the speedo will start tomworkmagain but once you turn the bike of it go's out again. Can anyone help me with this problem. The bike is a 1995 GL1500 SE

The wheel sender is probably okay since your cruise and turn signal cancellers are working. Check the cable first, it may be breaking up.

My wild a$$ guess would be: the speedo is still sending a voltage signal to the turn signals (you said the turn signals were 'FINE'…. that means they are self-cancelling properly????) and the cruise control so the internals of the speedo are still functioning. I'm guessing that the speedo needle is loose on the shaft and not indicating the speed.
