even for great barn mechanics like myself...id let the shop do it and make sure a well experienced mechanic does it...that has done many....also you need a library of shims to swap out on the fly(is best)....some will take measurements and go get the shims but all in all the shop can do it easier and it has to be done right....p.s. you can probably go much higher miles if no issues...but it becomes a warranty issue if not done??
