I have a '77 GL1000 K2 US import.
It came completely naked and I'd like to fit indicators.
However, when I plug them in, they come on with the ignition.
I'm assuming they're wired as running lights as well as indicators.
Can I easily disable the running light feature?
Thanks,
Clive

The front are supposed to come on as running lights, there is a dual filament bulb in them and 3 wires. The orange/white on the left and blue white on the right go to the running lights, the solid orange and solid blue are the turn lights. The rear should only have 2 wires and should only work as signals.

The orange "driving light" on motorcycles became legal in the EU about 5 years ago, - just saying.
Of course, I know that the UK has always been "special";) and no longer part of the EU.

Great feedback, folks. Thank you!
Orange, left; blue, right; work perfectly.
[Surprised and delighted all the 44 year-old components still work.]

So "Special" (capital S!) we still drive on the left.
Any tips on converting my Wing to RHD would be greatly appreciated. 🤣
