Doing work to an 83 GL 1100. Already have bike mostly torn down. Trying to figure out how to remove the front fender though and I'm having trouble seeing what is attached where and how to remove it. I'm still fairly new to the whole forum thing but as soon as I can figure out how to post pics I will. I have plenty of things to accomplish still and anyone willing to follow along online can watch pics and any help would be grateful. Enjoy the ride!!!

You have a big job ahead of you, but if the bike is salvageable, it is worth it. IMHO, the '80-'83 Interstate/Aspencade 1100 models are the best Goldwings ever built. I have an '85 1200 LTD and like it, but it does not have the looks of the 1100. Best of luck with it, I'm sure there are plenty of people here that will be interested, and more than willing to help.

Not at all. Two totally different models. You'll need parts from an '80 to '83.
