Hi Guys,
I was replacing the screen & noticed that the dash between the speakers was loose, the dash is connected by the 2 bottom screws with wing nuts on them but the top of the dash is loose, the 2 screws are there but how do i get to the screws to connect a wingnut or an ordinary nut to the screws.
I think these fairings were made to drive us bonkers.:dude::dude::leprechaun:

if its an 82 has it got the square voltmeter radio display ?

if so if you remove the screws holding this in place then I think you get to the nuts

if you want driving bonkers read my thread on sticking brakes which I'm just putting the final answer to

You have to remove the turn signals from the fairing to access the wingnuts on the back. Helps to have small, thin hands also.

Thanks for the response guys, the dash has no volt meter,on the left is radio channel & on the right it is the cb channels,in the middle it is blank,I can get to the screws by putting my hand through the turn signal but I can't get to the 2 top screw heads with a screwdriver to stop the screws from turning, can the cb & radio channel windows be prized out .
