Hi Guys, someone has kindly given me a set of brake pads, box is marked GL1100, my quetion is are 1100 and 1200 pads the same?

No, and even all 1100s are not the same.

I'm afraid not. Gl1200 models use EBC 69/3 or equivalent front and back. GL1100 models use a combination of 69, 69/1 or 69/2 depending on year and whether its an Interstate or Aspencade.

Just to add to Alan's post, that is regarding the 82 & 83 with the 2 piston calipers.
The 80--81 have 1 piston calipers and use different pad numbers.
