GL1100 bucking and sputtering

I have been working on the 1100 and finally got her back together and noticed i had run the battery down.
I gave her a jump she startedidlingwell. then started bucking and sputtering. i noticed the neutral light flickering. Ifigured the battery was toast. i shut her down immediately.
Please don't tell methe stator went?:shock: What do you think?
What chance do i have of putting a new battery in and having the old girl purrrr again?

i tried the batt and it is gone. it won't take a charge. i will have to pick another up and give it a try.
