Just a heads up to those newbies out there like me who test for compression and may get a very poor reading the first time.
Make sure that when you crank the bike over that you pull the throttle full open, or you will get very poor readings. I didn't know this and tried to test for compression and I only was showing approx. 60 psi on all 4 cylinders. After finding the proper procedure, magically the numbers jumped to approx. 160 psi on all 4 cylinders. this is with an 82 GL1100I with 47k on the clock.
