Hi after stripping engine and deciding on the rebuild route, a decent engine was not found! I had a bent rod, I have some spares but none of the same weight. The conrods on the bike are all 'D' and spares in have are 'B' or 'E'. Has anyone swaped out these and has it made much diffence, failing this anyone have a low mileage set in the UK?

I helped rebuild one last year and it has two odd rods fitted and no probs to date. More important is to make sure the replacement rod and cap are a matching pair.

I wouldn't worry about it, probably not enough difference to be noticeable vibration wise. If you had an accurate enough scale to weigh them on, find one that is heavier and grind off the flat on the cap to match the others.
