Hello everybody,

My problem is with my 1982 goldwing aspencade. I've had it about a year and a half, and i've had to replace a fuse for my taillights from time to time. The last time until yesterday was 3 weeks ago. Now everytime I put qne in it blows immediatley.I have took everything out and checked every wire I could get to. Could it possibly be the ignition switch? HELP! I know nothing else to check.

Thanks Peanut:?

Download the repair manual and go to the wiring diagram and trace the line from the fuse to all the devices on it. Your short has to be in that circuit somewhere. LOL!!

You may have already checked these....but have you took the brake switch out of the equation on the hand brake and the foot lever?

That fuse runs the tail lights plus the instrument lights and the front marker lights. If there have been lights added on the wiring to those would be the first thing to check. It has nothing to do with the brake lights.

Consider going back to stock lighting. Had the same problem on my LTD. Pulled 8 ft of wire out, disconnected all the add ons and no more problems. You may have to take the seat off to trace the wires back to your rear lights.
