The gl1100 fork rebuild posts are very good on here, but I can't seem to find much about the anti dive part. I have an 83 interstate that I need to rebuild the forks on and can do it from what I have read. My question is do I need to pull apart that part of the fork and clean and rebuild it. I don't have a book that covers the 83 (need to get one) Thanks Dana

when you flush out the lower fork tube it`ll all so flush it out. if you leave the drain plug out. be sure to clean and lube the slider pins too.

Thanks for the reply, I started the job yesterday and have one drain bolt that is turning but won't come loose. The head on it stripped and now I'll have to drill it I guess. I read a past post about holding the piston with a wood dowel, I'll give it a try when I get it drilled for the easy out. Dana
