Hello All,

I just bought a '82 GL1100 Interstate (I used to own a GL1000 for a long while). According to what I read the rear tires should be 140/90R16 but the tires that are on the bike now are 130/90R16. Is this a mistake by the P.O. or is this correct? Any suggestions as to what brand of tires I should put on the back? (I am not a power rider, just pleasure). (Actually, I am not sure it is an Interstate, the badges say that but who knows - is there an easy way to verify?)

Also, I am missing a couple of parts (the right glove compartment lid, the right saddlebag's lid, the cover from one of the horns and a few other things. If you happen to have spares, please P.M. me

Thanks,

Greg

Thanks for that link. It definitely is a 1982 GL1100i.
It also say that the tire size is 140/90R16 (which is not what I have right now). Any recommendations on the tire brand (what's the best value, something that is relatively inexpensive but is not dangerous)?
