Loosen the drain screws and see if you have fuel in the bowls.
GL1100 Missing on 1 & 3 side
OK, now that I have water pump changed, the dang thing wont run. Missing like a [email protected]#$ on 1&3 side. I DO have spark though. I disconnect 2&4 and she dies. This thing is getting me down, what do I check? Is it a fuel issue?

Pull plugs are they wet, dry, black dry, black sooty/wet..will/may give you a glue to what's goign on with the cylinders.

yes
I changed the right rear tire on my pickup and on the way home it ran like crap.
As in our case the two things were unrelated.:ROFL:

Swap the wires going to the coils and the plug wires. If it then runs on 1 & 3 you have a bad coil. If the problem stays you have an ignition failure.
