No Windex or similar products... it will soften the acrylic.

Many use a product called Plexus. Some use lemon pledge. I use pledge and have good luck.

When cleaning... use a straight line motion rather than a circular pattern.

:waving:I use Mermaids Plexiglas/Plastic Cleaner & Polish which I buy at West Marine. It works great! Use a soft rag such as terry cloth and do not use paper towels which can scratch your windshield.

The best is the Starbrite cleaner found at marine shops, but its hard to find. The other product I've been happy with is Plexus. You have to use it often, then bugs, etc, can easily be wiped off. Its not a "rainx", but it does seem to help the rain bead up on the windshield and run off.

i use a soft cloth, with hot water, it will remove bugs without scratching and will end up very clean.

To clarify, always use a vertical wiping motion. Never, ever, go horizontal period.

That will keep any minor wiping induced scratches from producing glare from oncoming headlights.

Always take a towel or heavier cotton cloth and soak the bugs for a while, until they are soft and move easily. Never try to "scrape" them off the windscreen. You do not want to apply heavy pressure to plastic when cleaning.

Best stuff I've ever used is a spray cleaner called Slipstreamer, great stuff. Patrolium base which disolves bugs and gives a slip so the rain flys off.

A second for Pledge.A friend uses it on his airplane windshield and quite happy with this.Towel soaked in warm water first then the pledge.Start at top and wipe downward with Very soft cloth.

give it a coat of rain x it will help clean it off next time and keep the bug guts from sticking so bad

I use soapy water to clean, wipe down with a terry towel and finish with a good car wax. It works for me.

Again, my vote for Plexus if I need to clean just the windshield. If I am cleaning the entire bike, I use "Spray Shine 99" and use it on everything.
