Ok, first things first, What year is your 1100? , your idle jets are probably clogged, 80/81's are pressed in 82/83 are unscrewable... Hopefully you have a 82 and up, just remove the idle jets or slow jets and make sure they are cleaned up well.. You will never achieve a good idle with them being clogged and they do get clogged..
