i got a question about the oil orifice in the block between the piston on a 1983 honda goldwing interstate gl1100. i finally got my valves adjusted and belts on correctly,now this pops up.when i cranked it it ran great,covers off heads,but it made a metal popping sound,then ran very smooth.it seem to be more than enough oil coming in the rocker arm area. will this effect the running or engine getting to much oil to the rocker arms causing a valve cover leak.what do you wingers thank? thanks in advance for your help.hoghideman

There is a lot of oil going to the heads, I started one with the covers off and was surprised how much. It is normal and will not effect the running and if the gaskets are good and the crankcase vent not plugged they should not leak.
