I'm considering switching out my rear shock for gas shocks. I need something really strong to support two 300 lbs people. Any ideas on types of shock I should use? No we don't want to lose weight.

if you mean a total of 600 lbs, don't think you'll find any gas filled shocks/with external springs that would do an acceptable job

Night Stalker,

My wife and I were in the similar situation with similar needs with out 82 Aspencade.

The progressive 416's are great. I used the progressive springs in the front and the 416's in the rear. I got a compleetly new bike out of it. We have put on many many miles and can't speak highly enough about them.

Well worth the cost.

+1 to the Progressive 416 shocks. They really cope well with heavier loads, pulling trailers etc.
