are gl1100 and gl1200 rear stop light switches interchangeable

and look it up on the schematics for each model/year. I don't know if you are talking about the front lever or the rear pedal either.

Those switches get gunked up pretty easily, but are just as easily cleaned. Pull the rubber protector down and spray the rod with WD-40 while actuating it a few times. Then carefully adjust and reinstall the rubber, it's good as new for another month or two.

I've been doing that dance for 25 years.
