your stock 82 had no relays from the factory (other than trun signal) so you may have to trace wires to find out what it is for. a quicker method is to unplug it and see what stops working.
GL1100 relay
I have a 1982 GL1100 that I found a relay while changing out my coil pack that I have no ideal what is is. The number on it is S5H-02 and it had a wire jump fron one connector to the other then it was taped to the plug, I say where someone say it is a turn signal flasher relay, but all my turn signal are LED'S and I change the turn signal to the electronic relay whic is round. so I am needing to know what this relay does before I put the bike back together. Please Help
