Good morning to everyone, hope everyone had a good ride this past weekend. Ok now down to my bike's problem. I have a 1982 Gl1100 with 60,000 miles on it, I have noticed that the bike seems to run great except for my gas milage, but it seems that when I try to give it gas to speed up it spits and sputter like it has a miss in it. The carb's have been rework and they have been sync. I changed the spark plugs. I have put sea foam thru it. Like I said the gas milage is bad but it run fine. What am I missing or what do I need to check.

Thanks everyone and be carefull riding:praying:

Even though you said the carbs have been worked on, this type of problem is usually caused by carb problems. I would also check for vacuum leaks and check the condition of the spark plugs. Was it running ok before it started doing this, or has it been this way since it was last worked on?
The bike had been sitting up for about 2 years when I got it, it seem to be running fine at normal speed until I gave it gas, i was told by a motorcycle mech.who check the carb. he told me that it may need to be run for a while. I checked for vacuume leaks and I just just changed the plugs out. The bike also seems to be running a little rich

Ok, this is what you said in the first post.

...and this is what you're saying now.

Which is it? Have the carbs been physically taken apart, inspected, cleaned, parts replaced that needed replacing, put back together and tuned...

...or did someone give you some shiddy advice and that is what you're rollin' with?
Yes they have been rebuilt and sync
