GL1100 Starter Brush Cover Plate

There are notches and grooves , where do they line up.......this thing don't seem to hold in place :? Not a lot of info on putting it back together....the reclean and take apart plan was great.

Just from memory but I think it only fits in one way..the notches slip in as you turn it into place..but if memory serves the connection points for the brush wires sit at about 4/5 o'clock that should get you close..later I can take one apart and look..I have a couple of spares sitting around.

Hi Frankenpack,

When I put mine back together, it just “clicked” back into place. I know that the brushes have to be worked a little but it should really be quite easy. Is the wire coming from the body of the starter in the way? It should be on the outside of where your mount it with the screw.
