I have an 83 gl1100I that the tac stopped working on, I looked and found the cable had broken so I got another one. Before I put it on I tried the input to the tac to make sure it was not froze up, it turns but is stiff is this right or should it turn freely?

Take it off and turn it upside down and drip liquid graphite in the shaft until it turns free.

Where do you get liquid graphite, have not been successful at auto part so far? Could not find liquid graphite so I used some Hoppe's gun oil. Said that it will not gum, harden or turn rancid. Seams to work great, time will tell. Thanks for the replys
