Just picked up a really nice Chrome Tank Rail to put a tank bag on when I travel.

Anyone have a pic with this chrome rail mounted on their GL1100. I dont know it if mounts open end toward the front or rear.

Make sure you mount it the way Bagmaster mounted it. The PO mounted it the opposite direction on my bike. It makes it difficult to get the key in the gas lid. I have to use a little short key. The original keys are extremely difficult to get in under the rack.

That's not my bike, I wish it was. It looks a whole lot better than mine. I just linked to a pic on a store site for the pic.

In fact that bike is a 1200 if you look closely at the lower right fairing. That's the cb panel for the 1200's. A lot of chrome goodies fit both the 1100's and the 1200's.

Fuzzphi, you should be able to reverse yours, the holes will be the same either way.
