Hello! I need some more of your help. When I use the turn signals on my 80 model GL1100 I hear a high pitched whine. It happens more often when I use the left signal. Also it takes a few seconds to start working and I'm not sure if that's normal. As always any help will be greatly appreciated!
Until 82 Honda had a 'beeper' that sounded when the turn signals were on. This was so you would not forget they were on, and Honda used a self canceling device in 82 and later, eliminating the beeper.

Low voltage to the turn signal circut or bad connections/grounds can cause your problem.

If the connections and grounds are good you might have either a bad turn signal relay or bad beeper. If you unplug the beeper and the signals work as they should you have a bad beeper. Otherwise you most likely need a new relay.

I know this forum's rules dictate that people need to fully ignore prior replies to questions and pretend that no one else posted the same or similar answers to questions, and its also forbidden to agree to other's posts or what other people's opinions, no matter how many people post the same thing over and over.

If I get banned for not following this rule, so be it.....
