GL1200 air cutoff valve location?

Ron, it is on the front of the carbs but you will have to take the carbs off the bike to remove it. The manual shows how to test it to see if it is working properly.

I would get the manual and follow its directions.

Mine needs to be replaced as well, it has been backfiring or pooting as I call it on deceleration. There is a plate that has to be removed to get to it and to remove the plate, you guessed it, has to come out from the bike. Best of luck with it.
