Hi - first post so here goes. I am trying to remove the alternator driveshaft from a GL1200 and I am currently defeated by the rotor nut. I need a special tool 07925-3710100 rotor holder. These do not seem to be available from Honda, and I was wondering if anybody had one for sale, loan or could give me the dimensions to get one made. I am UK based.

Alternatively does anybody have any other clever ideas to help me get this nut shifted?

Cheers

Hopefully someone with one will chime in soon. In the meantime have you tried asking at your local lawn mower repair people? I think they use them too and might be able to lend you one.

Evidently, you don't access to air tools?
Go to your local rental store and rent an electric impact wrench, or a crankshaft pulley strap wrench.

Sorry it's a bit late, but the air gun shifted it, although I did take the precaution of getting a tool made first with an eye to getting it torqued up again later.

Thanks for the input.
