I would say that you will ruin the Battery, unless it has an extremely good BMS in it....can i use this lithium battery on my gl1200?
BMS for Litium Ion Batteries, means Battery Maintenance System, and that is extremely important. What Is BMS?
Thanks for your suggestions.
better than a normal battery.
Hopefully the Battery Tender has a setting for lithium batteries. The require a higher charging voltage than flooded or AGM.There's an undersize AGM battery in my bike (there's a piece of 1x6 board behind the battery to keep it from sliding around in the battery box) that was in the bike when I bought it 6 years ago. Who knows when the PO put it in there but after 6+(+++?) years it is still going strong. I keep it on a battery tender if parked more than a week.
We'll see how it does this spring when riding season opens, but so far no indication of it giving up the ghost yet..... I've had the bike out a couple times this winter...
