Hi, i have a 1987 GL1200 Aspencade that i have just bought. it has sat for 3 yrs and finally have her running!! it seems that when the rear brake pedal is pressed it is not until it is pressed as far as it will go until the brake lights come on, is there a way to adjust when the light comes on? also the front brake lever does not light the brake lights at all, any suggestions greatly appreciated

thanks Ali

The rear brake pedal has a spring attached to an ajustable switch that you just need to turn in or out. Looking at it, you will see it is easy to do. The front brake handle has a small switch with two wires running to it. Pull the wires off and connect them together. If the brake light doesn't come on, the switch is bad. Cheap and easy fix.
