The clutch takes dot 4 brake fluid. Take the cover off the reservior (left handle bar)and check the level. The sight window may be discolored. If the fluid is dark it will need to be changed. Mine had a bunch of gunk in the bottom of the reservior that needed to be removed, then new fluid and things loostened right up. There are lots of threads on clutch work here. Remember to not get dot 4 on your plastic or paint, or you'll need new plastic and paint.
