I took my headlight apart again today because I still cant get the high beam to work. I noticed that there was a ring shaped plug that plugged into the bikes plug for the headlight then that additional plug went into the light bulb. Once I unplugged the added plug spacer from between the headlight and the bikes plug the high and low beam both work now. Any one know if I needed that extra plug? It seems to stop the high beam from coming on? Is it an add on to make the head light blink while driving?

Ron, a picture would be terriffic but as a guess, it sounds like a headlight modulator.

agreed on it being a modulator, just remove it and plug direct to bulb to test. If it works you know it isn't working.

Discounected it the add on piece, headlight works great and is briter then ever. Btw the piece looks a little like this one not exactly but it's close to it, http://xchoppers.com/images/KIS-P115W.jpgt
