my question is will the leaders from an 1100 swap over to a 1200? or even just the head pipes? A second question would be the 1200 went over to hydraulic valve lifters is this really an improvement to the 1100's solid/adjustable lifters? Thinking about picking up a 84 1200 Interstate, already have a 80 1100 with vetter 3 with lowers........

I know this has been asked and answered here in the past, but I don't remember what the answer was. You should use the search and find the posts you need.

The header pipes will bolt up to the heads yes. Rear mounts for mufflers and clearance may be different.

No more need to adjust them as on the 1100 is the purpose for them.

1100 exhaust is made in one piece, the mufflers do not separate from the headers.
I prefer the solid lifters, no worries about a collapsed hydraulic adjuster, not that it happens much. Adjusting valves is not that much trouble and doesn't need to be done very often either.
