Hi low switch might be dirty. Open it up, 3 screws under neath switch, and spray in Electrical contact cleaner several times and keep working the switch(power off). Let dry a few minutes then try it.
Be sure and protect the painted surfaces from spray.

+1 on the starter button. I have cleaned my switches without taking them apart...and definitly protect the finish with a towel.

yes. +1 on the starter button. The starter button will disengage the headlight while starting the bike.

If it keeps happening, you will need to remove the switch, possibly take it apart, to clean it.

Thank you!

Took a quick run over to the post office, and as I pulled in, I noticed I didn't have a headlight. Flicked switch from high to low... nothing, checked fuses when I got home... all good.

Thankfully this popped right up near the top of my search results.

Tapped the start switch a few times, and there it was.

We had a torrential downpour the other night. My trunk has about an inch of water in it, even though the lid was closed. I wonder if I got some water in the switch.
