So I figured out why my horn doesnt work....its in a box of parts that came with the bike.
Would someone be kind enough to send me a pic of the stock location?

Mounted above the lower triple tree above the front wheel. #9,10

Bzzz! Wrong!

It's a GL12 and the horns are mounted on the frame rails on each side, under the fairing. You should be able to see them through the side/front vent holes. I'm looking for a pic.

I was mislead on the Partszilla parts fiche. They show them mounted on the triple tree. I even looked at all models of the 1200. I also checked Wingstuff and they show the same parts diagram.
Just looked it up for 1987 and they are indeed mounted on the cowl stay, behind the lower covers.
Looks as though both sites are showing the location for the standard model.

Drop the lower fairings on each side,the bracket,if its there,hangs down at the front of the bike beside the radiator.
