hi wingers

could anyone kindly send me a photo
of the stop & tail light failure sensor
connected to an interstate please.

i do have two manual, the haynes
and the clymer and i can't find
any photo of this in situ!

when i bought the bike, all the front
lights worked. the fuses have been tested
and I've nearly finished repairing the
harness. i ended up with a lot
of after market wiring. the oem wiring
has now been identified, soldered
and heat shrunk.

the part i can't find is this stop/taillight
sensor.
on the dashboard an error message is
showing 'tail light!'

q) how many relay switches does
the interstate have please?

many thanks for your advice!

regards

Angel

Since you've had the wiring all apart on this, I'm assuming you know where the starter relay is. If you move the starter relay to the side, the taillamp relay is directly behind it. It has a 9 pin connector with 7 wires in it. It's the only one there.

I'm assuming your saddle bag tail lights are working and that they're wired correctly not to the plug meant for the trunk lights.:?
