I just picked up a 1985 GL1200 bike was missing ignition switch. The switch I bought has a flat end connector on it, however the bike has a white round looking connector with two metal studs on it. am I missing a wire connector to go between the 2.
Any info would be helpful
Thanks

Welcome to the forum.

Other than being white it sounds like the contact base of the old switch.
A picture would really help.

The connector for the ignition switch is located on the inside portion of the fairing on the right side. It's an eight pin flat connector.

As Ken stated, that's the electrical end of the ignition switch. Trace the wiring back to the fairing to plug in your new switch.
