gl1200 lifter knock

I have a 1987 gl1200 I replace the water pump ,Head gaskets and Timing belts when I was waiting for parts I took head to work and clean them by blasting then with bake soda [ No Grit to get in everywhere] now I have a lifter knocking so will it pump up by itself or do I have to remove lifter and pump it up in a pan of kerosene as per manuel

You sure it's a lifter knock and not a belt one tooth off? They sound similar.

It's a knock, Found out front plugs not firing no spark from right coil knock from not firing change wires on coils and front fired and back don't think i have a bad PULSE GENERATOR have a good used one will try it
