I'm buying a chrome cover for both master cylinders for my 86GL1200A.
The ones I'm finding states that fits 1200 and 1100 82 to 85. I also find some for the 1500 88 and up.
Can anyone tell me if the 86 is the same as the 85 or the 88 1500?
Thanks

I checked an old microfiche (Honda) and it states that the '84 used cap number 45513 MB4 672 for both clutch and brake, and '85 to '87 used cover number 45513 MB4 673, again for both clutch and brake.

I imagine they might be the same size but some difference o the sealing.
Based on what you told me, it owuld be safe to assume that if it fits an 85, it should fit an 86.
Thank you for the information.

If you install aftermarket covers keep an eye on them for a while. Some did not seal well and developed leaks. You do not want brake fluid on any paint or plastic...
